Featured Bean... Ethiopia Mokonisa

With so many great roasters around town doing an excellent job with their coffee, I wanted to share with you some of the great coffees I taste weekly. I will be featuring beans that are super tasty and brewing them for you. I hope you enjoy this new part of my blog.

The first featured bean is one of true complexity and flavour and an origin that we all love. 

Bean: Ethiopia Sidama Mokonisa

Region: Guji, Oromia

Coffee Roaster: Padre Coffee

Varietal: Local Heirloom

Altitude: 1900 to 2300 masl

Process: Fully washed and dried on raised beds

Brew Method: Hario V60

Tasting Notes: Apricot, honey, sugar cane with hints of pineapple and dark chocolate.


Star rating: A great coffee that deserves 4 stars. Great flavour and aftertaste, holds up well as it cools down.
